How to buy

Here at AREA TRAILER SALES, INC., we make buying a trailer simple, transparent and reliable. Whether you need a single enclosed cargo box or several equipment trailers for a fleet, the same step-by-step process carries you from first look to handover — with no hidden fees at any point.

Step 1: Browse real, in-stock inventory

Start on the inventory pages. Everything listed is an individual physical unit we hold:

• Cargo Trailers — lockable enclosed boxes, single and tandem axle, ramp or barn doors
• Dump Trailers — hydraulic-hoist beds, bumper-pull and gooseneck
• Enclosed Car Trailers — protected vehicle transport with ramp doors
• Open Car Trailers — wood- and steel-deck haulers with dovetails and ramps
• Equipment Trailers — heavy decks, tilt beds and deckovers for machinery

Every listing shows the unit's photographs, price, and the specifications we hold for it — GVWR, empty weight and payload stated separately, axle count and rating, coupler, gate or ramp configuration, floor and frame details. Where a figure is not recorded, the listing says so instead of showing a guess.

Step 2: Check the numbers

Two numbers decide whether a trailer works for you:

1. The trailer's capacity. Payload is GVWR minus empty weight — both are on the listing. Match it to the loaded weight of what you haul, with margin.
2. Your vehicle's capability. Check your tow vehicle's towing and payload ratings on the door-jamb label and owner's manual. We will never tell you a vehicle can tow a trailer — that rating belongs to your vehicle's manufacturer.

Step 3: Order online

Add the unit to your cart and check out. Three things happen the moment you do:

• the exact unit (by stock number) is held for you so no other buyer can purchase it while you complete checkout;
• you choose pickup (free, by appointment) or nationwide delivery — if you choose delivery, the delivery cost is calculated and added to your order total right there, before you pay;
• you choose how to pay: wire transfer to our company bank account — the preferred method; our accounting team emails you an invoice carrying our company banking details — or a major credit or debit card, where a secure card payment link is provided after you place the order. Card details never touch our servers.

The price you see is the price of the trailer. Delivery, where selected, is its own itemized line in the total. Nothing is added afterwards.

Step 4: Confirmation and preparation

Your order confirmation arrives by email with the unit, the stock number, the amounts and the fulfilment choice — wire orders also receive the invoice with our banking details. Once payment is confirmed by our accounting team, your order is processed within 1–2 business days: we verify the unit, prepare the title or MCO/MSO paperwork, and contact you to schedule.

Step 5: Pickup or delivery

• Pickup (free): by appointment at 67 Duke St Ext, Selbyville, DE 19975. Bring photo ID, a rated tow vehicle with the right ball size and a working light connector. Details in the Pickup policy.
• Delivery: conducted by us nationwide, typically within 3–5 business days after processing, scheduled with you in advance — with site-preparation guidance in the Shipping and Delivery policy. If anything prevents delivery inside that window, we tell you straight away.

Either way, you walk the unit before signing: VIN against the order, doors and gates, lights, coupler, tires.

Step 6: Documents and after-sales

You receive the title or MCO/MSO and bill of sale for the unit — what your state's motor vehicle agency needs for titling and registration. After the sale, the same inbox (sales@trailvant.com) handles guarantee claims under Our Guarantee, manufacturer-warranty pointers, and any questions about your unit. One thread, full history.
